2006 Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 CDTi 120 Design 5 door Diesel Manual Read listing

  
Up for sale today is this nice looking 2006 "56" Vauxhall Vectra 1.9 CDTi 120 Design 5 door hatchback in Grey (personally I think its more blue/green). Bad bits first so no excuses about not seeing its faults/issues. 1: On cold starts its slow to start and when it does you get a big cloud of smoke. Looking up on the issue it could potentially require a starter motor (No work has been done to check the cause so could be something else entirely). Once warmed up it starts fine. While driving there is no smoke at all. 2: The brakes are spongey (close to the point of not working at all).

While braking you can hear some noise from the disc's. The handbrake warning light stays on which maybe linked but couldn't be sure. 3: Electric window switch is not the best, its works when it likes but all windows do work (suspect the switch to be the cause). 4: Service spanner light (as seen in photo) will come and go as it pleases. It seems to disappear after 5-10 mins of running.

Good bits next (of which there is several). It's covered approximatly 98700 miles, which is pretty low for a diesel vectra. Unfortunately there isn't much else in the way of history. It has an MOT until 24/02/2025. Once started it seems to run well enough, no knocking or smoke.

It comes with 2 remote keys that both work. It's sitting on a set of 18 inch 1FORM Edition. 1 alloys, they have rim protectors on which are looking a bit rough but the wheels look really good (so the protectors have done their job). The bodywork is in good condition with only a couple of minor marks. The interior is equally as tidy.

No signs of damp or water ingress either. For all it's faults it does still start, run and drive. I feel it has more life left in it. Very well spec'd, Half leather seats, cruise control, 4X elec windows, elec mirrors. All the usual that you would expect on this age car.
