Vauxhall vectra estate 1.9cdti150 only 89588 miles. Injection fault not running

  

Very low mileage but has a fuel injection fault. Superb reconditioned original sri facelift wheels. This vectra facelift has been a great car, very low mileage, one of the last to be made, but not running at the moment due to a fault with the injection system.

I took it to my mechanic this month while it was running ok, due to occasional misfiring after a period of short journeys. A mechanic tried to replace the injectors but had difficulties and thinks there is a problem with the injection pump. He said the compression is good, which it should be as it has low mileage and had very good performance, uses no oil.

I needed to be running with a car again quickly and my mechanic ran out of time to fix it so I have given up with it and replaced my car due to shortage of time available to get it fixed. It does have some minor bodywork damage here and there but not serious and hasn't really bothered me. Rear boot door was replaced due to rear windscreen breakage, but comes with original as a spare so the dent could be repaired, and glass replaced. Wheels are all in fantastic condition, having been professionally restored last year and well looked after (I had planned to keep the car several more years). All seats are in excellent condition for the age.

Other than the injection issue, the car drove perfectly. I loved this vectra, superb driver, big, well planned out load carrier with fold flat seats and tow bar and was not expecting to be letting it go so soon. The Vectra estate has a bigger load capacity than the Insignia estate mk1 which replaced it. Full history, my wife and I have had it since the first 20,000 miles when 3 years old.

Inlet manifold was renewed earlier this year. Starter motor renewed last year. There is some cosmetic damage here and there, consistent with the age. The engine turns over and tries to fire a bit.
